TERMS of TUITION

Students are expected to do all work set. English students should expect to spend at least the length of their lesson time in doing exercises set as “homework”. Music performance students should spend at least the length of their lesson time every day in practising on their instrument, and should do any theory exercises set.

Students are expected to attend all lessons. There are bound to be occasions when a student can not take a lesson - such as because of illness, or being out of town, or an urgent medical appointment that can not be arranged for any other time, but these should be kept to a minimum.

Lessons missed are charged for unless there is a satisfactory reason for the absence and sufficient notice is given. It is often possible to arrange another time for the lesson if arrangements are made early enough. No cancellations will be accepted after 8 a.m. in the morning of the day in which the lesson is scheduled, unless the student falls sick or has an accident during the day, or there is some exceptional circumstance. In this case I should be advised as soon as is practicable.

Accounts are sent out in the first three weeks of each “term” of ten lessons, and should be paid within a month.

It may be that .for some reason (such as a change in employment or change of address) either teacher or student decides not to continue lessons. In this case a month’s notice should be given.
